Can't Buy Me Love star Amanda Peterson has died at the age of 43.
The actress's family has confirmed that she passed away from unknown causes in Colorado earlier this week, reports TMZ.
Her father told the website: "She had some illness and a sleep apnea problem that may have contributed [to her death]."
Peterson rose to fame starring opposite Patrick Dempsey in the classic 1980s teen comedy Can't Buy Me Love.
The actress also starred in the Emmy Award-winning miniseries A Year in the Life, and also briefly appeared in Doogie Howser, MD.
Peterson left Hollywood in 1994 to return to her home state of Colorado.
